Where to start when you want to add some mobile capability to your current application. The first step for me would be to make sure I am on the latest version of the software. Currently this would mean OpenEdge V11.4. Mobile was only introduced in V11 so if you are still running V10 it is time to upgrade.
The first V10 released in 2003, that is 11 years ago.

    Thank you

Next step would be to register for you mobile development environment. To get an evaluation account go to https://appdesigner.rollbase.com/

Also check out the Mobile Applications document in the OpenEdge documentation and samples. This will have a good example you can follow to learn some of the basics.

We had a lot of issues with the setup and understanding of how Rollbase works in the cloud.
E.g. Security had to be relaxed through our firewall and the Chrome browser had to be started with the --allow-running-insecure-content.

Now we are trying to set up our own encryption on an exposed webservice to get some external data into Rollbase.

I'll try to keep you informed of any further issues.
